Karlheinz Schnelle
Karlheinz is a graduate of the University of Pretoria where he completed his Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) degree. He started his career as a software developer for the South African Revenue Services, where he played a pivotal role in modernising the PAYE, VAT, Customs & Excise and Taxpayer Data Management systems. From there he used the experience gained to move into the financial services sector as the Head of International Projects at Synerics Business Solutions, initially focusing primarily on the insurance industry and branching further into the asset and wealth management sectors.
He has many years of experience designing and developing custom software solutions for some of the largest insurance companies and asset managers in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Europe, including 4LifeDirect International, The Unlimited, Red Sands Insurance, Capricorn Capital Partners, and Correlation Risk Partners.
Karlheinz is a co-founder and current Managing Director of Schnelle and is responsible for both the long-term strategy and the day-to-day running of the business. He is also responsible for guiding the architectural and infrastructural decisions across all of the projects to ensure that we continue to deliver on our promise of delivering enterprise-level solutions for our clients.
Kelley Schnelle
Kelley graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a Master’s Degree in International Tax, after which she took up a position on the Transfer Pricing team at ABSA for 4 years before moving on to become an International Tax Consultant and Transfer Pricing Specialist at Deloitte where she played a pivotal role in helping to standardise and optimise the Transfer Pricing positions for several large multinational organisations. Kelley subsequently moved on to head up the Transfer Pricing team at Momentum and was instrumental in delivering a project in time that was far behind schedule when she joined the team.
Kelley is currently the International Tax and Transfer Pricing manager at Schnelle and has earned a reputation in the industry of being a hard worker and always ensuring that the complex laws and regulations governing these areas of the tax act are judiciously upheld and abided by. Outside of work, Kelley has an insatiable passion for teaching and enjoys spending time coaching hockey and staying up to date with the current challenges in the education industry.
